இரண்டாம் தாளில், கட்டாயம், 33 சதவீதம் மதிப்பெண் எடுத்தால் மட்டுமே, அடுத்தகட்ட மெயின் தேர்வு எழுத முடியும் என்ற நிபந்தனையுடன், ஆங்கிலம் மற்றும் இந்தியில் வினாக்கள் கேட்கப்பட்டிருந்தன.

Charusree Thiagarajan was willing to become an IAS as she was not satisfied with the position of an Indian Forest Service (IFS ) that’s why she had given second attempt. 

When Charusree Thiagarajan comes to know that she had secured 6th rank in UPSC Civil Services Examination 2014-2015, Charusree Thiagarajan was totally surprised that she got 6th rank out of 1236 candidates.

Charusree Thiagarajan was already working for Indian Forest Service (IFS ) but she had made her day and night equal to become an IAS officer because according to her Indian Administrative Service gives a chance to a person to do something for people and country.

Last year also she had given exam of UPSC but her rank was low that is why she was not able to become an IAS. And then she became an IFS officer and serving country Indian Forest Service in Dehradun.

She also told that if she will get a chance to select cadre officer choice then she will definitely prefer for her hometown state Tamil Nadu.

Charusree Thiagarajan also told to Hindustan Times that she would like to be the part of policy formulation or policy making position so that she can bring changes in the lives of people rather than Administrative and Implementing duties. Charusree Thiagarajan also told civil services and particularly Indian Administrative Service give a person a chance to be in the thick of things and to be able to be and agent of change. She also revealed that she want to work for education sector to bring improvement especially in villages.

Charusree Thiagarajan told more women should write Civil Service Examinations and the trick for the success is hard work, smart work and perseverance.

Currently she is doing training in Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) of IFS. She has given UPSC examination twice at the age of 24 and both the times she got success. Her father Mr. Thiagarajan was retired from farming department and he was executive engineer. Charusree Thiagarajan is only child of her parents.

When Charusree Thiagarajan was in her 10th standard she got 94 % marks in 2006. She got 98 % marks in her 12th standard in 2008. And after completing her graduation in engineering she work for a Qualcomm a MNC company for 2 years as a design engineer and simultaneously she was also preparing for civil services examinations.

Charusree Thiagarajan had given her first attempt in UPSC examinations 2013 she got 749th rank. She wants to become an IAS but as her rank was less she was left with the options IRS or IFS. She selected IFS. As she was working Charusree Thiagarajan did not left preparation of Civil Services she was working in day and study at night for 5 to 6 hours daily.

Then she got 6th Rank in UPSC Exam 2014-2015.
